Floor Mirrors FAQs

How long are our floor arch mirrors?

Regardless of the finish chosen, all our floor-length mirrors are 1800mm in height.

Where should I put stand-up mirrors?

Large standing mirrors help to open up your space and add beauty through the illusion of reflection. Generally, floor-standing mirrors should be mounted on the floor against larger walls. In some cases, it’s best to avoid placing your full body mirror or leaning mirror opposite windows to minimise the reflection of distracting sunlight or glare. We recommend securing your floor mirror to a wall with the bracket provided.

How should I position a full-length mirror?

Please note that floor mirrors are designed to be mounted on the floor and that this product must be installed by a licensed tradesperson. Please refer to our Specification Sheet, which includes installation instructions for your full mirror. This is listed under the ‘Product Documents’ tab on the relevant product page.

If you wish to have your full-size mirror mounted on the wall, additional brackets are required. Please contact our sales staff for more information regarding positioning your freestanding mirror here: [email protected].

Can a floor mirror be hung?

Our full-length mirrors are designed to be mounted on the floor. As mentioned, if you wish to mount it on the wall, additional brackets would be required. Again, feel free to contact our sales team for further information about full-length standing mirrors.

Where to place your full-length mirror for the bedroom

Tall mirrors should be used for both practical purposes and as a focal point in your bedroom. Freestanding full-length mirrors help to give your room character and body length mirrors provide a convenient place to help you get ready.

To make a small bedroom appear more spacious, consider purchasing a couple of full-length floor mirrors and placing them opposite each other. Another idea is to install a large leaning mirror opposite the doorway, which will reflect the hallway and create the illusion of a larger bedroom. Large freestanding mirrors could also be positioned opposite your bedroom window to add more light to your room, helping to brighten and expand the space.

How to keep your floor mirror from sliding

Safety should always be in mind when mounting a leaning wall mirror. Ensuring your stand-alone mirror is correctly installed to the wall by a licenced tradesperson using the screws, wall fixing brackets, and cable fastener provided, should prevent it from sliding.

How should I clean and care for my leaning floor mirror?

Regularly clean your arched floor mirror with mild liquid detergent or soap and water. Do not use cream cleaners or bleach, as these substances are abrasive. Similarly, do not use cleaning pads with abrasive surfaces on your arch leaner mirror as this could scratch the material. Please use a suitable glass cleaner for the mirror.
